Prepare for possible disasters. Prepare and stock items which will be necessary and helpful in case of an emergency.
Discuss with your family what to do and how to contact each other when disasters occur.
もしものときに、日頃から備えておきましょう。実際に災害が起こったときにどうするのか、考えることが必要です。
How to prepare for Earthquakes（地震に備える）
- Fasten the furniture as securely as possible to prevent them from moving and falling down during an earthquake.
- Prepare fire extinguishers, flashlights and so on which will be useful and necessary when you evacuate.
- Prepare slippers or shoes to prevent injuries from broken glasses on the floor.
- Discuss beforehand where to meet and how to contact each other when an emergency arise.
It is important to discuss what to do when an earthquake strikes with your family.
- 家具等の転倒、落下の防止をしましょう。
- 消火器や懐中電灯など、避難に役立つものを用意しましょう。
- 床に飛び散ったガラスによるケガをふせぐため、スリッパや運動靴を用意しましょう。
- 地震時に家族と落ち合う場所をあらかじめ、決めておきましょう。
実際に地震にあったときにどうするか、家族で話し合うことが必要です。
What is an emergency bag?（非常持出袋とは）
It is a bag contains necessary items such as drinking water, foods, and medicines, etc. Keep the bag in a place which can be easily reached. In evacuation sites, water and food supplies may be limited, and necessary medicines will be hard to find, so store foods last at least for three days and first aids kit for injuries.
避難場所での生活に最低限必要なものを入れた袋です。いつでも持ち出せる場所に置いておきましょう。 最低限3日分の食料や、負傷したときに応急手当ができるように準備しておきましょう。
